gday

does anyone know if a tough dog RTC steering dampner from a patrol will fit on a hilux with hi steer? it is the exteme one that handles up to a 44'' tyre according to the tough dog website.

it has the 10mm folded plate brackets both ends with the little u bolts that hold it on.

Would you put it from draglink to tie rod or make a bracket from the diff to draglink?

thanks

RTC Dampners are crap. They are used to hide problems with incorrect steering setups. Setup ya steering properly and just used a good after market dampner.

OR go hydro assist. :D

yeah well i have a massive shake in my car that id like to hide lol.
i got the dampner for nothing because one of the threads was stuffed but i fixed it already.

as soon as i hit around 40km/h the whole car gets death wobbles and if you look out the window you can see the wheels jerking left and right.

so i thought this would help it until i figure out what the problem is.

IMO, you're probably best to spend your time trying to solve the current problem rather than finding something to temporarily cover it up.

And to answer your question, if you have the time and the tools, you can make anything fit anything.
