Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi there,

My 1hd-t has recently blown the turbo and sent bits through my motor. Pulled it down today and thankfully a majority of it is ok. The head has a couple of small dings in it which I dont think I need to be too worried about?

The worst part is the pistons as they have peices embedded into them so I will have to replace them. Where abouts is the best place to get them from?

Is there any performace parts availible that are worth getting? This is my daily drive/tow wagon so Im not after a comp motor, but since its apart, is there anything worth getting or is standard gear ok?

Also, Since I have to replace the turbo, I might aswell get a larger one. Is a t3/t4 too large, too small or just right?

Stick with stock stuff. Plenty of reliable horsepower to be made. Anything custom (and i haven't seen much) would be hella expensive, and not really worth it when you look at the bottom line. (hp and price)

You could get away with a stock turbo as well. Just adding an intercooler and bigger exhaust yields good results. I think if you went with a bigger turbo you would loose the boost at low rpms. You would be better off with a twin turbo setup if you wanted to make more use of the 3-4000rpm range.
