98+ into 96

gday guys
Im looking into doing an engine conversion on my 96 lux.
ive narrowed it down to the 3.0ltd or the 3rz
I was just wondering if everthing forwards of the gearstick in a 98-2000 lux will go into a 96 lux both duel cabs.
So im talking th complete dash and maybe centre console and the rest.
this would also make the wiring alot easier as id be using the 3rz factory wiring correct?
