hey guys just lookin at doin a bigger lift on my 2door. its got a 2 inch body and a 2 inch spring in it already
im lookin at bumpin it up 2 a 4 inch spring. im having trouble desiding wat springs to choose whether it be lovells or dobinson springs. wat experianced have u guys had. and also it there any other dramas lifting them hight then 2 inches in the spring departmant. like any pinion angle on the drive shafts or anything like that???

I would not go over 3" lift.
Castor at 3" lift is still half ok and driveshaft angles too.
The breaklines all around needs to be extended.
A mates Range Rover has 4".
Castor so far out - you dont like driving faster than 70 km/h.
Cross member have to be modded for the front drive shaft clearance.
The trailing arm bushes front and back are on there maximum.
One inch dont sounds much, but it is just a bit to much for a Range Rover.
The last inch will go very expensive.
I think 2" lift is the best for a Rover.
What size tyres do you want to use?
I run 35" ETs on 8" rim with 3" lift + 3" body and have no problems at all.
With that setup, i could go even bigger tyres.
I would like to take out a bit of the body lift but need the space for the gearbox.

i have 2" body and 4" coils and 35's in my rangie and its gonna be expensive very shortly unless you have access to tools to make the arms to suit, 4" is a little over the top but its what i wanted and it works well but saying that im thinking of coming down a inch or two. Kings Springs did mine as a special order but they are available but be warned it will drive like a boat if your not willing to put in the time and effort to make it work. Let me know if you want the part numbers for the kings springs and ill get them for you

yer im pretty keen on goin a 4 inch spring coz i got castor correction bushes
lol and the rear end i can sort out. any issues with being unstable at all???

yeah it seems a little unstable at speed but it was never built for going fast but its pretty much stock setup i.e arms etc but im waiting to get the rollcage in and get the weight in it before i start switching coils

I used to have a 2 inch body and 4 inch spring lift , and it was a pain in the ass , just too unstable etc , etc .
I now have a 2 1/2 inch body lift and a 3 inch spring lift with the 33 's and find it a good set up.
Much better.
