Sierra Shackle dimentions

Anyone know the std Suzuki spring shackle pin dia and shackle length. Going to make up a new set to replace the dodgey and worn extended set on the Sierra. The pins are in a bad way and appear to be 13mm or 1/2" dia (bit hard to tell) and a shackle width of 62mm. I don't have a std set to measure.

Looking at using either shouldered bolts if available in the right size, or machining up some shouldered pins if not.

Cheers
Rick

to save you time and to get a good looking shackle there is a guy on here and on auszookers that sells some very nice shackles. they are powder coated black and have the suzuki S on them so they look factory for the cops and from memmory they are very very nicly prices and he will have them to your door in a few days. I know some one will pipe up with his name but for the life of me I cant think of it Twin stick designs or fatzook or something. any way they are a very good product for the price.

The 'S' is what stops them from looking Factory imho.

Yeah, seen those but no thanks. Wanting stock style pin design, where the side plate comes up to a shoulder and you can actually tighten the nut. Been down the bolts as pins route before and not a fan of them.

The bloke dak dak is talking about goes by the name "Gutless" on here.

Standard eye to eye measurement is 70mm from memory.

You can get new stock shackles off ebay. Can even get them with new bushes if you want. Being stock they have the shouldered bolts you want.

Hehe, some awsome engineering there. Wonder what it drives like?

What i'm trying to acheive is a HD standard (or close to) length shackle. Can anyone varify the std shackle pin dia, 12mm/12.7mm/13mm ? Can then machine up some 4140 pins and use 8 or 10mm side plates.
