RA V6 engine swap to diesel

Post by Benszook »

Just wondering if anyone can help. We have a v6 extra cab rodeo which has 140k on the clock it drinks heaps of fuel and a heap of oil.

We can get a written off RA turbo diesel with reasonable kms on it for a good price and we are wondering if the engine will bolt in using the diesels cross members, gearbox, etc.

Has any one done this conversion and is there any information out there that I can read. I have done quite a few searches and cant seem to find anything.

Regards,

Yeah still haven't gone ahead. I couldn't find any info but I am sure if i bought a whole wreck most things should swap over. Whats wrong with the engine in your car? We bought the RA from the auctions with a tool box on the back for work but it obviously hadn't been well serviced and it drinks oil almost as quick as fuel as the oil rings are shot.
