Lowering a Lifted Lux

I recently purchased a modded 93 Hilux dual cab that my missus hates. It's had alot of work done to the suspension. I think it's an ORI kit and features everything like:
About a 5 inch spring lift
2 inch shackle extension
2 inch body lift
14" Rancho's
Custom shock towers
Crossover steering etc etc etc
What i'd like to know, is can the vehicle be brought down a few inches without any implications to all the things that would have been extended in general? Whilst at the same time not losing much or any of it's amazing flex?
What would be the best way?
The only reason i ask is i'm under the thumb and the missus hates it cos she can't get in, and also it won't quite fit in my garage..... Please don't hate me.....

Lift the house so it fits and keep a couple of milk crates in the tray for the missus to use to get in. Problem solved, or I'll swap you mine

do you have pics of it atm?
you could try running stock rear springs in the front
and stock ifs model springs in the rear or ford springs in the rear, both flex really well and give a decent lift

What size tryes are you running
and does it have blocks under the rear springs
drop the body lift.
You can replace the shackles with stock ones and then put them on a 45deg angle that would drop it alot more and still get ok flex

Take the extended shackles out,and any lift blocks if fitted.
Remove a leaf or two from the spring pack so the leaves follow the contour of a std. pack.
Check to see the x over steering does not hit or bind.

i say remove the extended shackles... then the body lift, unless it requires doing stuff like re re doing shift linkages etc.
is this the only car the both of you have? otherwise use the other car...

swap u for my 86 4Runner.. stock heigh, air con, power steering.. rollbar.. everything a missus wants
Other than that... is taking out the body lift going to affect the shock towers? just change the shackles is going to be the least hassle

You're kind of stuck. Assuming the extended shackles have been setup correctly, you will not be able to replace them with standard ones. This is only practical if your extended shackles are close to vertical at ride height currently.
The body lift would also be a hassle to remove due to the shock towers in the front and probably rear that would have been fitted to house the large travel shocks.
So basically, if it's an ORI built vehicle, I'd take it back to them and get their advice/assistance.

8 inches of lift from suspension, body and shacle lift is quite a bit, I would look at shorter (less height) as far as springs go as well as ditching the bodylift, if nessecary getting rid of or heavly modding the inner guards to make the shock towers fit ..
You will end up with a happier missus and a much more stable truck .. so you can "get it" more in the bush as well as home ...
What size rubber are you running ?? and got any pics ?
