I thought you could get lower-range differential gears, which lower gearing all the time, and also lower-range transfer case gears, which only affect low range?

Reduction gears go in your transfer case and change the low range only.

Off course you can get lower range diff gears but these are called diff gears not reduction gears, don't confuse yourself.

You can also opt if you have a big tire combo on the car for a small reduction in the high range gearing as well, I think the standard set I have seen from Marks Adapters is 15% under driven from the stock ratio, this might work out better than have to match front and rear Diff's with new crown and pinions.

Just went looking at marks and all I could find was an overdrive for 5th.
