Hi, I'm lifting my transfer case up, I have a lwb 1 litre chassis. It's a 1.3 5 speed, with a 1.3 transfer. Picture below is how I have modified the chassis for the front drive shaft. I was thinking about a 40 mm lift. Was just wondering if there was any thought on, if this mod would b strong enough to the gearbox cross member.
Thanks for any help

That should be fine. Well done for doing a job even that good with the body still on.
Steve.

That's the way I would do it, mayby slightly more overlap on the passenger side but what's you've done will be fine.

Looks OK. An option for mounts are the Honda engine mount, these will give you a 25mm lift only but are bolt in and seem to be quite strong.
the part number is MT8330 from Repco, Honda accord engine mounts

thanks for the help. I was planning on using 40mm rhs spacers with the standard mounts. i've only broken 2 in a couple of years, and they have usaully torn out when the transfer got hooked on something. i usaully back off a bit when i get traction.
