one of the boys on this forum knows the compliance plate numbers to identify an LSD on ya particular model - search maybe?
Other way of doin it is...
Jack up the diff - jack under pumpkin so that both wheels are raised slightly.
Rotate drivers wheel . and if the opposite wheel rotates in the same direction - you have LSD, If it rotates the opposite direction, then you have an open wheeler.

to find out if I had an LSD I simply put the entire truck up on jacks. Started the SD33, put it into low 4wd, set the hand throttle at about 1000rpm's and then tried to hold the tires still while it ran. Could not stop either rear wheel by hand, front was easy to hold a tire still. Pretty fool proof and no danger to me or the truck if I made a mistake.

FYI, this only works in 2WD of course, but the transmission MUST be in neutral, otherwise if the driveshaft can't turn there's only one way for the rotation to make it across the diff, and that's through the side/spider gears which will make the other side rotate opposite, LSD or not. Of course, it will be much more difficult to turn if there's an LSD in there.
What you're testing is which is easier to overcome, the force needed for the large ring gear to turn the small pinion, or the force needed for the side gears to drive the relatively same-sized spider gears. In an open diff, the latter is far easier, but on a decently-tuned LSD, the clutch pack will hold the side gears tightly enough that it's easier for the entire carrier and ring gear to drive the pinion.

it is a pretty up-spec truck you have bought. if it doesn't have the factory locker, it will undoubtedly have the LSD.

On smooth tar corner in 1st gear at about 1500rpm hook it tight around a corner and open up the secondaries and you'll hear the tyres start howling.
Warning don't try this with a diesel

That all sounds like fun...
But I'd just stick my head under and have a look.
Most LSD's are marked accordingly so people will use the right oil to service them.

How about hit some grass and if it lights up both and tight circles are comin on thick and fast she is all good (its a limo) if it lights one up then you haven't gassed it enough or no limo........the factory diff locks are air op wit the line coming into the back of the diff pumpkin - if so strengthen it so it doesn't break off......

All Mavericks have LSD unless they have a diff lock. I have never seen a Mav with an open rear diff.
This doesn't apply to GQs though.

Well mine had an open in it when I got it. 1990 DA Maverick X. Full poverty pack , vinyl floor , bench seat , drum rear and open centre.
They are out there!

i know my LSD works well. the black mark on my driveway and ripped grass just next to it are proof of that. (one wheel on concrete the other on grass)
