Loose Steering Knuckle? (Sierra)

I have been trying to fix up my Suzuki Sierra, because the front left wheel bearings need to be replaced...
My problem is that I have taken off the steering knuckle and replaced the King-Pin bearings... I have then put the knuckle back into place..
But it DOES NOT FIT? :bad-words: I can see no reason why it shouldn't fit.
But after the two king pin's are in place i can lift the entire knuckle vertically off the ball joint. Not completely but there is a huge amount of lee-way vertically where i can move the knuckle around.. What is the problem??? And how can it be fixed? ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated?? :smilecolros:

Yeah i did put the Shim plates back in...
But it is still loose? I did not change or remove anything apart from the King Pin bearings themselves...
I didn't actually even replace the king pin runners (What the bearing run on)... So possibly they need to be replaced with the newer ones which came with the bearings?? And if so is it difficult to take these out?

Replace them, simply use a long pin punch and tap them out (bottom from the top and top from the bottom) sit the old one on the new so you dont hit the new one with a hammer when installing it.

As for the movement maybe some pics will help? You fit the lower bearing in didn't you?
