Loose Steering Knuckle? (Sierra)

I have been trying to fix up my Suzuki Sierra, because the front left wheel bearings need to be replaced...
My problem is that I have taken off the steering knuckle and replaced the King-Pin bearings... I have then put the knuckle back into place..
But it DOES NOT FIT? I can see no reason why it shouldn't fit.
But after the two king pin's are in place i can lift the entire knuckle vertically off the ball joint. Not completely but there is a huge amount of lee-way vertically where i can move the knuckle around.. What is the problem??? And how can it be fixed? ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated??
