Problems installing Gearmaster Gears into GQ?

G'day Guys
The GQ is in the workshop getting my Marks 4x4 Gearmasters Lo Range gears installed at the moment.
Shop just rang and said that it was a little more complicated than they expected as they didnt quite fit and some more machining would be involved
Anybody else had this when fitting theirs? The guys doing the install are reputable round here, but Im just concerned that all is not right.
From what I gathered I thought install was a pretty straight forward type deal?
Thoughts?
