84 Toyota 4-skinner with 33`s
11-13 km/h at 100kms
5-7 km/h at 60 kms
wondered why everyone was driving so slow
me thinks that this is affecting my oddometer to as I`m not getting the same kilometers per tank?????
Who else has checked there`s ?????

since putting a 60 series box in (i think the speedo senders are different)
says 100km/h = actual ~110km/h with 33s
yes, your odometer should be 11% to 13% out.
never really thought about that tho. now i get 10% better fuel economy
cant wait to see how far out it will be with my new tyres.

With the Ferwoaza going from 235's to 31" tyres I'm 5k's out at 60kph and 10k's out at 100kph, so when the speedo read's 90k's I'm doing 100..
Basically mines 10% out...and I've just memorised what speeds I need to do, 55 speedo in a 60 zone, 63 speedo in a 70 zone, 72 speedo in an 80 zone, 81 speedo in a 90 zone, 90 speedo in a 100 zone, and 100 speedo in a 110 zone...all good, never been booked

i meant before i thought i got 5kms/L but that was worked out with an incorrect speedo. i actually travel more kms than my odometer tells me.
i believe this is the same for your case.
you should be getting 350kms/50L still, but your odometer travels 13% less. so id say you should be around the 305km/50L with your new speedo. (there are other variables which make your fuel economy crap, requires more torque to turn the bigger rubber etc.)

If your vehicle was originally fitted with 30" tyres and is now fitted with 33" tyres your speedometer will read 10% slower that the actual road speed and if your vehicle is now fitted with 35" tyres instead of the original 30" tyres then you speedometer will be reading approximately 16.5% slower.
This is according to marks 4wd adapters

You do realise that to push larger diameter tyres it will use more fuel than it did with the stock tyres?

Mine was WAY OUT when I put the 35's on, and (taking into account extra extra distance travelled over indicated) fuel economy was 11.8 L per 100km. This figure was over several tanks.
When I put in the 4.6's, my gearing (and speedo), theoretically returned to standard but my fuel economy went to 13.8 L per 100km. I assume this is due to more actual revs per 100km's when changed from 4.11's to 4.625's.

my 45 is 10k's slower than the speedo reads at 110km (road speed 100, speedo says 110) about 5 k's under at 60.
the 40's speedo is about 50 meters out of the 40, sitting on the shed floor

Strangely enough no, it is out with standard tyres on it - gps checkec as well as checked with other cars following but with the MTRs on it is spot on with my gps and other cars

When the 31s were new the Paj was within 1% compared with a GPS, running at 100km/h on the highway. I'm guessing it won't be so good once the 33s go on.

My hilux is basicly spot on with 33`s, when going past any speed check signs (the digital ones) it is allways within 1km/hr of what my speedo says.
Standard it came with 4.3 diffs (I think, memory is up the shit ATM) and I now run 4.8`s.

yeah I was confused by 383fj45 getting 10% better
(but i didn`t mention the fact that I have a dirty stinking crack in my extractors & since I haven`t taken a fuel/km reading since the tyre swap I don`t know its effect either)
