HI Rev 310
if i were you I would go a 4" flexy coils and a 2" body lift . It will give you good flex with the xlink and be more stable than a 7" sping lift .

I have 4in flexi coils and run 35's with no scrubbing. 4in lift is plenty for 35's, the more lift the less stability you will have. If you run a X link in the front and longer shocks with coil retainers and drop out cones in the rear , you will have plenty of flex. You will also not draw to much attention from the fuzz , which helps. Just my 2 cents.

hey mate
stuff the x-link unless a dedicated comp truck. drive like a pig on the road otherwise. 4 incj is heaps for 35's and will get ggod flex. get 4 inch coils with like 6 inch shocks and drop out cones and you'll be laughing.

I have the same setup and 4 inches is an overkill for 35s. I only got 4 inch as it will eventually sag bit to 3 inch and this will be enough for 37s if I decide to head down that path.
2 inch lift with 38s
3 inch lift with 37s

yep go 4"over standard height coils with custom spring rates to help stiffen the front/x link . and get the front end rear working together. then if your spring rate is right your truck won't be bad on road or roundabouts. don't forget the xlink needs to be pined/locked on rode to be 100% legal in N.S.W. .. hope this helps. ?? sure i spoke to someone about this the other day hhmmmmm???

Which guideline is this written in? or is that the requirement of a particular engineer?

i had 7 inch in my gq and rolled many times the higher you lift the car the worse the center of gravity sure it looks cool but if your going to drive around town you will get hasseled and if you want to do any serious 4x4 you may end up on your side a few times i deffinently did. I had 7 inch because i was running 38's i would never do it again i have 35's on my gu ute and 2.5 inch lift and it clears easy gu's are a little taller so i would recomend 4 inch no body lift. the only good thing about a tall car is sill protection, slidders are cheaper than a rollover.

Any bigger than 4-5" is for posers. I went from 4" to 6" lift caus I got told it was better and it felt like it was going to fall over all the time off road. I hated it!! The mrs wouldnt even get in it. Created so much attention with a 2" cab lift I got done by department of transport. Went back to 4" and ran 35's and it would drive anywhere I cared to put it!
Go for 4" any bigger and your just playin with yourself.

amazing how times change. If you had anything less than 5" a few years ago you were playing with yaself and now it going backwards, it will go fowards again then back, seen it a few times
It all depends on what you going to drive as to what suspension you want

If its any help, i run 35's on a 4" lift (Procomp springs & shocks [soft!]). It doesn't scrub anywhere, and both front/rear tuck up and droop well.

Glenn Dobbin told me when he made and fitted the xlink that it is unsafe and a possible defect on road in NSW so he made the pins for it. "RIP" GLEN

I've got a 4 inch lift and run 37's. Two inch is all you need for 35's with a bit of trimming.
