i've got a troopy 1hz 4.2 diesel, i'm getting the head match ported and polished and bored 30 thou over and looking to put a toyota sc14 supercharger on it. would anyone know what sort of psi i should run, and whether or not i should put a new diesel pump on it or wind up the old one.

i will also be lowering it 2inchs in the front and 2.5inchs in the rear running airbags front and rear to jack it back up to standard height to take it offroad. should i go complete airbag with 4link f&r or keep the leaf and jack the suspension up for offroad, i need the space of the troop for work and only go offroad now and then so it should'nt over stress the leafs an bugger them.

mate i dunno wether the sc14 would be that good on it honestly as there put on small engines i think that it would be a waste on a big diesel someone prove me wrong but just from what ive seen with toyotas they seem to just put them on little cars just a thought

i ran a sc 14 on my v6 commodore and it was hopeless till i changed the pulley and over drove it alot which ended up giving it a short life span and that was 3.8 litre not 4.2 i think a deisel would be the same as a petrol

2 of them would be needed.

Better off with a turbo, its cheap, reliable, easy, proven.

Those ones are off a 2.0L motor.. seriously will probably cause more headaches than ever and the HP needed to drive the 2 you would need to put on just to get to 10psi :drinking:

4 link rear is a good idea. Front should be a 3 link radius arm like on the newer troopies and most other 4bies. 4 link probably won't clear the engine if its lowered, and will handle crap anyway.

for the engine, as suggested but 8 grand? you'd be better off with swapping in the factory turbo motor. More reliable performace. Also even with that engine you may be dissapointed with off the line performance.
