tjm leaf spring suspension kit any good?

as said above just wondering everyones thoughts on the tjm 2 inch leaf spung suspension kit looking at getting that with their 4 inch shocks and 2 inch shackles. or just the 2 inch lift with standard shackles and 2 inch shocks what everyones thoughts? its for an 89 hj60 looking to set the suspension up for pretty hard tracks etc. thanks guys.

for hard stuff i think off the shelf kits arent the best with leaves, its better to try talking to the places that do custom work, getting longer main leafs, and the arch set where you want it and set at th rate you want, and to carry the load you will carry.

as said aftermarket leaves are good if all you are after is a ride height increase, if thats what you are after then yeah go for it, but if you want the most from your leaves you can get whilst still having them practical for your application you really need to either play with them yourself or go and see a shop that will make leaves to suit what you want.

oh ok. does anyone know a good custom spring place in southeast queensland? and what sort of set ups work well in a 60 series i dont carry much weight usually just the camping gear and i do some pretty hard tracks at the moment but would like to get more out of my suspension so im not lifting wheels all the time. thanks for the info so far.

well do you want more lift or just more flex? if you just want flex then maybe consider just taking a leaf out

if you search this site you will find answers as to how to gain flex in a 60

longer mains, a bit more arch, and take a couple of the smaller leafs out. and get your shackle angle correct, aim for 50 - 45 degreas from verticle
