My spare tyre carrier seems to sag now and its extremely difficult to swing it open.
Whats the easiest way to straighten things up with my setup right now.

Re: Spare Tyre Carrier
Bearing is probably flogged out/out of adjustment on your stub axle hinge.
Re: Spare Tyre Carrier
this is what's under the hinge tube
someone told me to jack the other end and that might straighten the pivot back

Re: Spare Tyre Carrier
why is it sagging?
Does the non hinged end get supported by that bolt whilst driving?
if so then i dont think it should be bending unless the whole rear bar is twisting or something while your flexing up maybe?

Re: Spare Tyre Carrier
its actually held by two bolts the other one is on the top/behind the tyre.
not really sure why and how it got bent as I got the car with this issue.
There's half or a millimetre play on the hinge if you jiggle it. To be the hinge tube must've elongated a tiny bit making it sag.
Just worried if I try and bend it up with a jack it might elongate the tube more.
