Just got a few questions about my hilux (its a 5L 2000 4x4 dual cab)
brake question - i need a new brake booster, estimated price? where to buy online? should i buy second hand or new?
Tyre question - Tossing up between 31" and 33" muddies, car has 2" of body lift and 2" suspension lift. 33" should fit?
and what are the pro's/con's about bigger tyre size, why do people want bigger tyres?
Side mirror questions - Currently have the side mirrors that mount onto my door (not the wide tray ones) and want to remove them and fit these (
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Hilux-88- ... 5888dbbb02" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )
to the front of my doors but not 100% sure if they will bolt straight on because its said they are meant to fit up to 97 and my hilux is newer, 2000. any one know if these will fit?

35's? 33's will fit easy with 4" lift. Pro's/cons has been answered many times and there's bucketloads of info on google about it.
All depends what you wanna do.

33's will fit fine, may slightly rub on full up travel but this is normal.
Brake booster- they are not expensive, just go to repco or some thing simmiliar- i would be surprised if it was more then $120
And as said tyre size pro's cons- there is heaps of info about this

with 33's on my luxy i found it was that i had to do 10% slower on my speedo than the signs said so 45 in a 50 zone, 90 in a 100, i followed my mate in his mini to get speeds.

yeah will throw u out a lill bit like 10km
bigger tire size give u more tire surface area, ect so when u let it down it give more area lengthways n width ways - more traction
also brings ur dif up from tjhe ground so it doesnt hit shit

hmm so ive done abit of research on the brake booster - 1000 dollars genuine, apparently you can not buy this type of booster aftermarket, and you can also not get a rebuild kit from toyota. F My life.

go to bursons, repco places like that and search ebay there is no way that there is no aftermarket brake booster for your car. In the unlikely event that is the case some of the places usuallly sell genuine toyota parts cheaper than toyota.

33's will give you 1 inch more clearance over 31's and when off road and deflated a bigger foot print which you want ...as far as speed use a nav man or tomtom to get the right speed (which i done)....

i know how silly i sound when i say that, and i also was like....are you kidding me? rang bcr and repco, both have told me i cant get aftermarket units :(
ontop of all this i tested my battery today and found out it needs replacing, oh the joys of having wheels!

Just buy it second hand then, are you sure it is the problem???
A typical problem is that the vaccume line can have carbon build up causing a problem, or the vaccume pump is faulty?

Goto a brake specialist, they will be able to recondition your booster with aftermarket parts.
