Hey all,
My rocky seems to have a dead uni joint in the tailshaft...
Who on here has replaced them in the past? Are they a standard item or what??
Will be doing an axle swap eventually so not too bothered, but if its cheap/easy to do now I may as well...

Be VERY careful which UJ you get. If yours is an early Rocky- 1985 or so, the book- all of them, will list the incorrect part number. The genuine part number is 04371-87303-000. Sorry, I cant remember the aftermarket part number, and its obscured on the new one I have downstairs. You should be looking at the listing for the F55. The easiest way to check is the circlips. If yours has internal circlips- with holes in them, which sit outside the UJ caps in the yoke, then the above should apply. The UJs listed in the book have external circlips- no holes, that sit on the inside of the caps, towards the centre of the spider.
Theyre pretty easy to replace, it can be done with a good pair of multigrips, and a socket, extension and hammer. Should take no more than about 15 minutes.

Mines a 1993 LWB - I'd say one of the last with Leaf front and rear...
