Are you using the same amount of oil at standard, as im thinking of using 10weight instead of 7wgt, and adding about 15-20mm more oil in them...Dextron will be cheaper as i have shit loads of that ....endless supply

my fronts have the std amount for a 16" (240ml ish)
rears have more...
std was 240ml, i went to 350/400ml just to give it an internal bumpstop..

Is this advise from the manufacture? I wonder what sort of peak pressures you would be putting on the Nitrogen by overfilling the shocks with oil?
Luke.

Luke if you go to the link above and download the PDF, you will see the maxium amounts of oil allowed before hydraulic locking the shock. Also pressure wise 3000psi or 200bar is allowed before blowing seals out.

He mentioned adding more oil to add an internal bumpstop. I presumed he meant hydro locking the shock just before the end of the shaft compression?
If he meant adding more oil to ramp up the spring rate so as to not bottom out so easily then that is different to an internal bumpstop?
I'm confused?
Luke.
