Can TD42 block be used for TB42 engine?

Hey guys. I've found a couple of things on this but usually no answers, just the questions. So I'm asking again.
Can a TD42 block be used for a high compression TB42 engine?
The basic specs are as follows:
TB42 (89 Model)
4.2 litre, water-cooled petrol engine.
4 cycle, 6 cylinder in-line OHV.
Crossflow cylinder head, high camshaft.
Bore x Stroke: 96 x 96mm.
Displacement: 4169 cc.
Compression Ratio: 8.3.1.
Max. Power: 125kW @ 4200r/min (DIN).
Max. Torque: 325Nm @ 2800r/min (DIN).
TD42
4.2 litre, water-cooled diesel engine.
4 cycle, 6 cylinder OHV.
Crossflow cylinder head, high camshaft.
Bore x Stroke: 96 x 96mm.
Displacement: 4169 cc.
Compression Ratio: 22.7.1.
Max. Power: 85kW @ 4000r/min (DIN).
Max. Torque: 264Nm @ 2000r/min (DIN).
So they have the same bore, stroke and displacement but I'd like to find out the size of the bearing jounals on both the rods and crank of each and are they interchangable?
Also can a TB head be used on a TD block to effectively have a petrol engine capable of high compression. (head being the weak component)
