Smoking 60 series on start up

Post by Tubbs »

Hi guys, my HJ60 absolutly bellows out white smoke after its sat for a while, it clears up within a minute but its a little embarrassing and its only started doing it recently.

I tried bypassing the air filter to see if the filter is passed due but it still fogs up the neighbours for a sec :? , although I think it was much less then the last few days.

Cheers

White smoke probably your injectors are leaking a little bit while sitting.

How long since you have had them done.

More than likely it's a bad glow plug. Replace them as a set, they are pretty cheap.

Thanks for the help, I think it maybe a glow plug thing.

I read somewhere yesterday that in cold weather a 60 series may need to be glowed longer to avoid the smoke, so I kept it glowing for a bit, even passed the light turning off and it started smoke free.

Going to do a full fluids dump and filters soon so Ill add glow plugs to the list.
