Hi guys,

I've got myself a new toy at add to my collection and need some help. The car is a VL calais (feel free to hang shit), I've built and dropped a 355 in it with 9 to one static comp so I can add boost. Now ideally I want to turbo it and rather than supercharge, Problem is if I do the turbo there physically isn't enough room do run a dump pipe and cross over pipe. Now I had this brilliand idea I had never seen utilized and thought I'd run it by those of you who know.

Ok idea is this, rather than run say a single 3 inch dump could I run say 3 inch of the back of the turbo then merged into twin 1 3/4 or 2 inch for example, would I have any significant loses this way?

Car is dailey driven straight lpg vehicle, power wise initially I'm aiming for 10psi, hoping to push 240-260 at the wheels, I don't need every last horse power.

Thoughts guys?

there are plenty of turbo v8s around just they put the turbos on some funny places usually in front of the engine side ways spose the twin pipe setip will be test and try i have only seen them with big single dump like 3" to 4". not sure of room in a vl but i was looking at turbo a vr i had while back and there was plenty of room once i moved the battery and fuse boxes to the boot. like i said i never ended up turbo mine but naturally aspirated i ran 10.5 to 1 comp and was making 275rwkw with a rooted exhaust set up and with cast heads so i would say you have under estimated your power figures. ohh ye and why not try twin turbo set up?
