Hi all, I need to build up another diff for my lux and also need to change housing this time, I have a housing from a mid 80's hilux here, can anyone tell me if the bare housing is the same as my 94 model? i'm only concerned with the knuckles on the ends as I plan on welding a cruiser center section into it, or should I be searching around for a 60 series diff housing? will the hilux brakes, steering ect fit the 60 series housing? I have a snake histeer on at the moment, if I go to the cruiser housing will the rods still be long enough? end plan is to have a cruiser center , airlocked, running a longfield 30 spline superset with hub gears ect, apart from the extra width I can't see any other advantage with going to the 60 series housing, (plus I havn't got one atm :D ) , cheers

yea, yea is pre ifs, both mine and the housing i want to use are solid axle, just need to know if the diff knuckles from the later solid axle are the same as the diff knuckle on a mid 80 housing? the earlier one has non-vented disks, that the one I want to cut up..
