Dodgy Hilux Brakes

My 2000 hilux's brakes suck big time! I'm running 35s, so I expect them not to be great, but they are seriously awful! Any thoughts on what could make them better? Pads have plenty of life left, but would a different compound work? Or can you adjust something on the brake booster (is that the right name) to give more pressure?

Check the condition of your brake fluid would be a good place to start. If it is black or hasent been changed in under 2 years, it's probably worth flushing it out. As you flush it out it will also get rid of any air that may be in the system causing bad braking. (If you do it right)
Check for any leaks aswell as a small leak may cause bad braking too.
And there isn't anything you can or should adjust around the master cylinder/brake booster.

i had same problem, no pedal pressure. so considering its brakes and pretty important i replaced alot..I did Front pads, rear shoes and rear wheel cylinders. including flushing out all the old dark fluid and putting in new stuff. works a treat now
