tray weights

whats the average weights of trays
i know there are a lot of different trays out there but would like to get an idea please.
my mate is in the planning stage and he said it may come up heavy..

Given that 4 guys can't lift the heavy duty steel tray / rollbar on my GU, I'm guessing mine weighs in the 300-400kg mark (including air tanks, etc that are bolted to the bottom of it)

the tray on the back of my 40 was picked up by me and a mate (and were both pretty small), but it is pretty small. Dimensions in members if u really want to know.

I thought the tray on my zook was a bit on the porky side but I dont feel so bad now!!!!
I can carry it around by myself but I can't just "throw it around" if you know what I mean. It's 1600(W) x 800(L) made from 25x50 box and a sheet of 2.1 checkerplate. I'm guessing it's around the 50kg mark.

we have thrown the 1st plans out as we were looking at 450kg..went to the extreme winch and have got some more ideas....

So u must have ya new rig so where's the pics
Dont ask HYPO how much his weigh's we put 1 1/2 to 2 bags of sandblastin grit down the main supports to add some weight to it .......................
but with a bit more experience Ben is now gunna remove all this and do some more mods to his tray ..................to keep the weight down ..................
We intially built it this way cause we were worried about the weight difference there was gunna be compared to his original mitchell tray ..we thought it may have limited flex due to there not being as much wieght to keep wheels on da ground ............................

just a stock gu cab chassis..with no tray but soon will have a tray ,lift,locked and internal cage...

I've got no probs with there being a bit of weight in the tray - I have enough trrouble keeping traction in the ute on the snowy roads each day to work as it is

I dropped 200-300kg by swapping a steel checkerplate tray with steel sides on my dual cab Patrol for a 200mm narrower lightweight rhs & aluminum checker plate version without sides.
