Got asked today, how to make the push button transfer case of an LN130 work without the matching harness/Computer.
Had to admit I didn't know as I've never come across it
Can it be done or would he be better going back to the early transfer case of a G52 such as is in my Hilux

Do you have wiring diagram for the LN130 gearbox/transfer case it couldnt be that hard. I have a mate with a surf chain drive box behind a early model manual gbox and the 4wd works of a switch then you have the lever. If you can send me a diagram ill have a look at it for you

I had figured as much, but wasn't sure. if it's just a matter of switching current to a solenoid I'll be able to figure it out

Just ensure the soleniod is 12volt as the computer may reduce it down. More than likely it will be 12volt though.

Black Bull, the Surf tranny & transfer do run through a 4WD ECU but should not be required for Mr S's purpose.
There is a black box (shifter wiring goes to - from this to 4WD ECU) that is attached to the shifter that may be needed tho.
Without this may need to permamently engage the "red button" via the solenoid just in front of the shifter, or just run a feed from the brake light circut to activate.
HTH.

have done it before there is a reversible elec motor with 2 limit switches
you need to set up a switch with 2 relays to stop it over driving
if you dont connect the relays to the limit switches the thing can jam in 4x4
