Hilux 3L turbo install questions

I have done alot of research on the turbo upgrade to the 3L using the 2L-T turbo kit.
After finding a kit for a reasonable price I'm now looking at the finer details of the install.
My first question is to do with the oil feed to the turbo.
Most people seem to use the alternator/vaccum feed. I noticed what looks to me like another feed point on the block next to it - see photo.
Is the highlighted item a blocked oil feed that could be used to feed the turbo or is the way most others do it preferred?
Second question is to do with the fuel pump and the boost compensator
I managed to get a 2L-T fuel pump with a boost compensator as part of my kit.
My initial thought was that the pumps could be swapped but from what I can find on the net the older 2L-T pump doesn't have a tacho sender.
I have read that the boost compensator can be swapped with the altitude compensator between the pumps.
The question is how much of the pump needs to be disassembled to do so - is it the top cap and the diaphram assembly underneath or the whole body the compensators sits in that bolts to the main pump body? I have highlighted the cap I'm refering to below.
If it is the cap and the compensator workings can it be done while the pump is on the engine or does it require pump disassembly? I don't think I would be willing to risk attempting to disassemble the pump but swapping the compensators might be easy enough - any one who has done this care to comment?
