G'day all. I have a 1984 model single can hilux, petrol model that ran out of rego in 2009 september. When I got it, it had a 2 inch block lift on it, 33's, adjusted brake lines, etc and it needed an engineers cert to pass rego every year.... My old man is looking at getting this thing rego'd again... I am wondering what would i need to get this thing back onto the road... AND how much would it cost to turn it into the stock mobile, with stock height..... For my old man to use... Do you fellas think it is worth it....OR should we buy something similar with rego on it already.... Cheers

You only need to have it certified by an engineer once, not every year.

Sounds like all it needs to go back to stock is to remove the lift blocks, replace the ubolts (with shorter ones) and fit 29's

You could leave the brake lines, nobody is going to notice that they are a little longer than stock.

Cost? maybe a few hundred + tyres. that's paying to have the work done. None of it is rocket science
