Increasing Land Cruiser towing Capacity

Increasing Towing capacity
Land Cruiser: HJ75 series (1989)
Engine Type: 2H Diesel
Current towing capacity: 3.5 tonne
Increase to towing capacity: 5.0 tonne
I’ve been looking into buying a bobcat to do some forestry work. I really don’t want to buy a small truck to carry the machine around as the land cruiser is set up as a good work/support platform for up in the bush. Plus with a trailer both the Land cruiser and trailer with machine will fit straight in the shed. Most of the small trucks with 4WD all stand to high.
Is it possible to legal increase the towing capacity of 4WD in Victoria, i.e. bigger brakes, bigger suspension?

it had dual wheels on the back axle and different rear springs,I dont think the brakes where any different. I dont now what its uprated capacity was

Used to be able to go from 2.5T to 3.5T on a 80 series but thats been stopped now. Unless you add another axle and major mods you arent ever going to tow 5T on the 75 series. Time for a F350 or similar.

I've looked at the F350 and would love one but by time I pay for it could of bought a new shed and a kenworth truck to park in it.
Looking like Larry the Land Cruiser is going to get traded for Mr Isuzu.

The 3500kg limit is on the towball itself. We (at a Toyota dealership) used to see many cars with pintle hooks (not the ones with the towball on them) instead of the standard towbar tongue. With an engineers certificate I think they were rated at 5000kg's. We did see a few cars with re-rating badges on them.
