Gday guys, long time no post. Anyway. I am curious as to whether or not i will have to go High Steer if i lift my lux with a 3" spring lift kit. Now silly me has already gone and bought a 3" EFS lift kit without doing much research !!!! ( IDIOT
). If i do need to buy a high steer kit, i would most likely buy it through LOCKTUP, and source my own ifs steering box, but if anyone knows of one 2nd hand i would be more than interested. Cheers, Ash

You can get away easy with a drop arm. But I would go either X- over or high steer if ya got the $$. To me, drop arms are a waste of $ if ya guuna do alot of 4x4ing. Chances you will break a J - arm as well or rip ya steering wheel out of ya hands when driving heavy ruts.
My 2 cents.

What happens is, without high steer when the drivers side of the diff drops down the shock will pivot in and bend/ put a crease in the casing of the shock. This is because you will get slot more flex then the factory springs.
I have the same lift kit and that is what happened to mine.
It is nothing major, i now have high steer and still have the same bent shock.

yea cheers rusty. i will pm you if need be.
I finished fitting my 3" EFS Spring lift kit today and also some very average 35" baja claws
, and went for a quick wheel on the property. I found a few teething problems, at full d/side droop the front slip joint is very close to disconnecting, also, on the front the 35's rub on EVERYTHING even though they are at 20% tread. I tried to search for some pics of someone who has cut the gaurds, but couldnt find anything, or whether a 2" body lift would fix the problem. I also put an ifs rear diff in ( holy smokes the wheel track is wide !!! about 3 inches wider than the cab either side with 12.5' tires !!!) and found the handbrake cable is to short, though i should be able to source one from the wreckers. But other than those few problems it is all pretty sweet. I will post some pics as soon as this computer stops playing silly buggers.
