Thanks mate. I've got an adjustable draglink so I was going to put a GU tie rod on that end.ssfabricator wrote:not sure on pumps and lines but you will also need gu steering relay rod. the gu pitman arm is upside down compared to gq
Thanks to this post because my friend was to able to put the GU steering box into the GQ. He had some troubles on how to put it but luckily we found this thread. It was really helpful and saves my friend some money from the mechanic.ssfabricator wrote:not sure on pumps and lines but you will also need gu steering relay rod. the gu pitman arm is upside down compared to gq

The GU pitman arm has a different size taper to the GQ from memory, could be wrong though............SIM79 wrote:Thanks OUTLAW565. Did you upgrade your steering pump as well?OUTLAW565 wrote:Whats a good price for a GU box and GU pump?

I have superior adjustable drag link and I have had look at some pics of GU drag links . Can I rotate the drag link end at steering box 180* to make it fit?

I have a GU engine in my truck already with the GU steering pump. You will need a new end on your draglink at the steering box end as the GU pitman arm has a different taper than the GQ pitman arm.
Thanks mate, I got one from the Gold Coast wrecker for $275.scott/gqfun wrote:hey sim i put 1 in mine. paid 330 for the box over a year ago from that back yard bandit over the road from the raf base. give him a try sum things he is cheap. early gq are weak
