1991 Triton TD engine life

I have a 91 Triton 2.5td with 221,000 kms on the clock and with a few
minor mods it is going quicker than it was 4 years ago.
The question I have is what life can be expected out of the motor in these
as mine has no rattles (except on a cold morning) & heaps of grunt for its
type.
The front & rear axles seem pretty tough & it still has original brake
linings front & back with the front good for a couple of years & back getting down.
Have broken a timing/bal shaft belt maybe due to previous owner not changing it & due to the vertical valves the pistons were not marked,
just cost a reco head etc.
Gear box seems to be the only weak spot , done up with new bearings
& clutch at 170,000 but next time around a new one will go in if all else is holding up.
In general the Triton seems underrated compared with some others & their faults but maybe the gearbox has held them back.
Reports on long term engine life would be appreciated.........Thanks, Ian
