Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey guys,
I currently run 35x12.5'' Goodyear MTR's for daily driving, as I'm starting to use the Patrol more for road use do you think I should try to swap my current wheels and tyres for a set of either 33' AT's or 35' AT's as they are still at about 70-80% or would you recommend keeping them. We don't partake in much serious 4x4ing anymore and are looking to get into touring, plus the car has front and rear lockers.
What would you recommend? We're open to suggestions.

This all depends on your touring.....are you going to be towing long distances, what ratio's you have in the diff if you are...etc.. alot to factor into mate.

but on the other hand you have already go a pefectly good set of tyres on your truck that are a good onroad and offroad so why change them.

I run 4.1:1 ratios, and we hope to cover some country.
The reason for changing tyres was to decrease road noise as the fairer sex doesn't appreciate it as much as I do and I think it's sad to wear out a set of good mudders on the road and not in the bush.

A set of 33 At's like the bfg's make an excellent on road offroad compromise. 33's will be plenbty big enough for touring and be nicer to drive on the road.

Another thought is that depending on where you tour such as qld 35's will get alot more attention from the police than 33's.

I run 2 sets to avoid the problem but the 35 muds do make a heck of alot more noise than my normal tyres, the mrs doesnt mind so much as its either the road of the engine or the roar of the tyres lol.

I rekon it's worth the change to ATs. You'll get alot better wear out of them, then on a set of muds too. If you were running more than 2 inch of lift i'd consider dropping it back down too, for the mentioned legal reasons, but also makes access to the truck, and the rear easier. Dunno how tall your lady is, but even though she can get in the truck, she might not be able to access the fridge in the back, for example.

I know what you're talking about mate. The guy I bought mine off went to all the trouble of lining EVERY panel inside the car with Dynamat to keep the noise of the 'pedes down. They're still noisy inside, even with the ac on. That's what the subs are for!
