Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi all,

I am rebuilding the swivel hubs on the front of my ln106 (solid front) and am having issues seating the axle (long side) back in. I thought I had it seated OK as the shaft was turning when I turned the tail shaft, but I have reinstalled the hub and the axle sticks out about 5cm beyond the hub locknut (I am fairly sure it is only supposed to protrude about 15mm)

Any help would be tops!. Especially ones where I dont have to pull hte hub off again. Also, How important is it to get the bearing preload spot on, I have just done up the locknuts to about a quarter of a turn past hand tight (Its supposed to be about 40nm..) EDIT: Just found a couple of post regarding locknut tighteneing, still need help on axle fitment..

Problem fixed, the axle was located OK, the 15mm protruding was after I put the manual locking hub back on...

I have just bought a lux again so be prepared for more dumb questions like this. I promise I will search first though..
