They do ok but can get a bit spluttery in shallower crossings where water gets splashed up around the engine.

With a bra strapped on the front and a good bow wave they will be fine.

Cheers

Elec ignition, coil packs in the cab inside of a pressurized case, HD plug boots and decent well insulated leads.

Its not going to love water like a diesel but if your not in over your head it should work out.

I have rubber covering the inner guards at the front wheels, have a tarp shaped to fit the front bar and have silicone around the base of the dizzy, 11mm Eagle leads that have really good sealed ends, MSD box is inside the cab and a snorkel.
I have never had a drama with water crossings, have had water over the bonnet  with no worries at all.
Inside the cab is a different story as I seem to have wet pants when ever I do river crossings but can't see where the water get's in  ;)

I run an early Holden V8 running twin 425 mixers (straight LPG) with a few mods , the dizzy is set up as a trigger for the MSD 6AL ignition control box (it has a rev limiter & boost retard).

the MSD box makes more spark and more responsive throttle...
