4runner body swap

i want to put a 92 4 runner body onto my 84 cause i need back doors for my son, cause trying to get him in a car seat in the back when the cars so high is nearly impossible.I already have a 92 body and from the measurements i have done it looks like the only body mounts that dont line up are the third pair from the fr0nt,which can be easily moved . i dont supose anyone has done this swap already or knows someone who has ?

from memory the wheel bases are different mate.

Isn't there only like 15mm difference in the wheelbase or something.

I remember a guy on the surf forum swapping his mid 90s surf onto a older model solid axle 4runner chassis. Seemed liked a easy enough swap from the pics he showed.

Edit: Think his name may have been Reece?

Yea, from memory he didn't have to move the front 4, but the other 6 I think he had to reposition to accept the 130 style body.
He may still have the complete rolling chassis for sale ?

hey thanks for the tips guys ill measure the wheel base tonight. if the 92 is a slightly longer wheel base i might get away with it as i aready have the front diff moved forward 5o mm so the 35's clear.

hey guys swaped bodys this weekend went well only had to move two body mounts all the rest were the same the wiring was the hardest part but its all sorted now . ill try to get some pics up

the one thing im strugling with is the 92 body was a v6 and the alternator had a internal reg and my diesel has a external reg . i managed to wire up everything else glow plugs,start relay all the gauges . just dont know what wires go where for the reg . can anyone help? please
