G'day,

Got a 94 GQ coil cab (Petrol) ute which has dropped a tooth in the rear and is well on it's way to making some gravy out of my centre :bad-words:!!!

Have been told there's about 5 different Ratios for the GQ and have had a good look around through older posts and the bible but can't find anything specific.

Are the ute centres the same as the wagons?? SWB vs LWB?? is the major variance between the ratios purely to do with cubes/fuel/transmission??

Need to get onto the wreckers ASAP.

Thanx

if you look on your firewall at the compliance plate it will say trans axle code the after that hg41 or some thing like that.the 41 means 4.1 ratio.
it may say hg39,hg41,hg43 or hg46 there are the more common ratios.

Thanx 4b kidd,

That's made life a little bit easier, now if the old girl can just hold out long enough i'll be stoked.

Didn't think the solution was that easy, scoured the manual and didn't have any luck. gotta love the forums aye.

All the best

generally, most common ratio for utes is 4.3 and wagons 4.1

but being a petrol ute? im not sure...
