Hi I am looking at putting a pyro/egt guage on the hilux its a ln106 with denco turbo. Just wondering where is the best location I have found a bolt/plug on the top of the dump pipe and wondering if this is a good spot and if so does anyone know the thread/bolt size? so i can buy the correct sender seeing the aussie dollar is so good at the moment i'm looking at he auber instruments setups.

Gday mate. Yes, that blanking plug on the top of the dump pipe is actually for a pyro sender unit, buy a VDO pyrometer and the right fitting comes in the kit.

If you're planning anything serious, then the manifold is a far better place. The dump pipe is good for general interest and indication only.

thanks ashley_bmx thats just what i want to hear except i like the look of the auber instruments digital setup but it did help as i found the denco site saying the size is 3/4 bsb.

kiwibacon its a daily driver and rarely see's anything serious so i think the dump pipe will be a good spot

thanks

Well i hope it is as i have ordered the parts from auber instruments and at the current exchange rate only cost $112.80 us which converted to $119.02 so not bad at all.

I'm just about to fit a VDO pyro to my Denco (2h) turbo. I'm fairly sure that mine is 3/8".
