Hi Guys,

Yet again I managed to tear of another mudflap on my 80 series. I think so far I have managed to tear all of them off at some point. However, this time I actually lost the flap, so I can't just re attach it like I normally do. Rather than buying a new one, to be torn off next time I go out, I thought I might just so away with the std mudflaps and replace them with aftermarket ones, or make my own that will have a lower risk of being torn off. Would somebody be so kind as to post some pictures of their custom mudflaps. I am mainly concerned with the rear, as thats the one I have lost, but will also change the fronts over to match.

Hit up bunnings, get a big piece of rubber matting. Few metal plates, some chain, bolts, washers and self drilling screws. Fixed

Not the best but you get the idea

Thanks. That was pretty much my plan. I just wanted to see what it looked like and to get an indication of length and width I should go. Could I get a pic of how you have connected them, and how to mount the plate. I'd still be keen to see some others if people dont mind posting :D
