Yes it can be done I've recently put gsx750 carbs on my 1.3 sierra. Best carbies i've had so far and have made the zook much more driveable and has added alot of power compared to other carb swaps if done on the same engine. I have been in contact with the bloke from that video and he has done a lot of work with the manifolds to get it running to its best ability but to buy the manifold if you can get your hands on one is very expensive. I made my own with fairly basic tools and just experimented with it until i got it running right. My tune isn't perfect yet but I can still wind the needle of the clock
which is rather frightening in a sierra!
I don't think the carbs can be out on a 16valve because of the electronic dizzy but i don't know much about them and if you want some more info and pics have a search on some some of the u.s. zook forums. All up you can make the manifold and get the carbs on there for around $400 depending on the price of the carbs.

has anyone heard anything on doing this to an lj80 with the 800cc motor? i read a guy put quads on an lj50 and it would do 140 kp/h ^_^

It'd be the same as putting them on the 1.3 motors just you probably won't have to fiddle with the jetting as much if you got the carbs from a 750. If you were to do it the 750 carbs are the go as the spread between the carbs is alot closer and almost perfectly matches the 1.3 head so you'd have to angle them abit to suit the closer spread of the 800cc ports (i had seen some carbs off a gsx 400/500 which could match up pretty closely as they are smaller).
The most annoying part is the water flows out through the carby manifold in all the carby zook motors so getting the water from the 2 water ports and to a thermostat housing is the difficult part of the conversion. You'll also need a nice low pressure fuel pump (i got a 70lph 1.5psi pump of ebay for about $80) as the mechanical one will flood the carbs and i tried a facet with a regulator but it still flooded.

Got a set of 1100 gixxers on my baleno engine and I love it. You can do it to any engine, you just need to fab the intake and set up a mechanical distributor. easy
