Wooo Hooo. Went back to sheidow yesterday and attempted to climb the greasy hill with the rocks half way up it. Well that was a joke so i though i'd come down it. LOL well, 1/4 of the way down all traction went out the window and i was holding on for the ride of my life. Ended up doind a 180 turn while sliding down the hill side. Very scary. My seat will never smell the same!

Well boys...
had a spare hour today so i headed down to mclaren flat to this thrack.
Went up the sandy section on Foggo rd in 2wdrive being chased by 3 million fu@king fox terriers from the house at the bottom of the hill.
Went up to the muddy track at Amery rd, went and had a bit if a nosey. Looks pretty boggy. I didnt go down and have a good look as i was by myself, me and dave could go down on thursday and attempt it if your keen Renny????
Its not really worth driving from the other side of town to get down there just for 1 mud hole and a bit of a hill climb. Will get pics and post them up here and you guys can decide for yourselves..

Hey Jarrad,
Yeah i'll still be up for it. Probably make it for the afternoon depending on wether or not i fix my exhaust before i go. Last time i went to sheidow i bent my tail pipe forwards and it has now melted through my mud flap
Its also leaking up front some where, probably the flange gasket again for the 4th of 5th time. Time for extractors i think. Fast Fit down near castle plaza has them for $240, can't be bad.
Might take Mike along with us too as he now has a Bundera!
I'll give ya a ring on wednesday night or thursday morning to let you know whats going on. If all else fails ring me.
Dave
PS. would it be all that bad if my cat went "missing" from my zorst system?!?

Yeah no probs Dave ill call you thursday morning
I wouldnt get rid of the cat....... BIG FINE! Id knock the guts out if anything...... Oops did i say that! i cant see much of an improvement if you did get rid of it though, they are pretty hi flow as it is.
As for your exhaust..... it was only time before you bent it! Thats why i have a little dump pipe mounted up high on my car, so it cant get in the way!

Yeah, I have my hands on a set of extractors thursday morning. I want to make a system that comes out the passenger side of the car infront of the rear wheel but the damn chassis rail is in the way. I'll find a way.

Why dont you just end the pipe where it goes over the diff?? That way it will be legal cos its behind the diff and it will be tucked out of the way

Dave, careful what extractors they're selling. Lukey make a 4-1 design to suit that I got quoted around $160 for- they're not as good as a 4-2-1 design though.
4-1 is designed for top end power, 4-2-1 (tri -y) is for low- mid range torque improvements.
I think by law the exhaust must exit past the last opening door- which could be interpreted as the rear door the spare hangs off??

Law, pish posh, i care not for this Law you speak of! Murcod, do you have air conditioning in your feroza cause the ones i'm getting aren't compadible with airconditioned vehicles. ie, the compressor gets in the way. So its bye bye airconditioning! I didn't work anyway so its no great loss.
I'll have to see how i go with the zorst. I got a rough idea but can't find a place to fit the damn cat! N E way. I'll make it work, i always do!! Thanks for the advice too murcod, i'll check them out before i buy them.
Cheers
Dave

They won't fit a Feroza with aircon, don't know what brand that would be then?
You should be able to leave your cat where it is, my extractors just replaced the front section. We cut off the flange that joins the cat and welded that onto the extractors, then fitted a flex section directly after the cat and then the stupid 3 chamber ricer muffler squeezed in after that.
Make sure they fit a mount from the extractors to the gearbox (like the factory down pipe has); plus some sort of bracket for the coolant pipe to bolt onto.
Did you end up getting new tyres Dave?

I'm fitting th eextractors this afternoon some time. My problem with the cat is that i am going to do a side system and where i want to run the zorst there is no room for the cat.
yeah i got my new tyres but only 2 new road trekkers which is what i've already got. The money factor made the decision for me!

Yeah,
We went out today. Went to those traks at Mc Laren Flat not worth coming all the way down south for though. Also went to some "Summer Trak Only" Traks near Mt Barker. They were cool as the rain had filled some of the crossings.
One that i got stuck in with the water above the bottom of my doors. So it was time to crawl out the window onto the roof and jump to the bank. Really fun. Now my passenger footwell is full of water agiain. Mean i also have to put up with soggy carpet smell for another fortnight!
Got towed out backwards and had another go at it and got through it and it was all good.
Thats about it.
