can a transmission oil cooler be used as a engine oil cooler?
Just need to make the hoses fit

Transmission coolers usually have a fairly small id on their fittings.
I'd check to ensure the cooler doesn't restrict flow by having smaller fittings than the internal diameter of your oil line.
