ours doesnt go offroad but it drops out of 4wd above 40km/h. Its front wheel drive all other times.
not a great deal of ground clearance but would be fine on any dirt track you are willing to take a commodore on.

I would never take on off road. They are only capable of loose gravel roads and ski roads. We had one come on a fundraiser trip that we were running for the local church. The tracks were all two wheel drive except for one hill, only because of the apparent steepness (it wasn't) and loose gravel. It crapped out big time, I think it cooked the auto in the end as it was towed all the way back to town. Poor recovery points and too much electronics for my liking.

They've got no clearance, but the biggest problem is that they are all plastic! So when you do inevitably bottom out something gets damaged. Bent the exhaust on mine from a couple of sticks the size of you finger. It's a great car, enough space and really easy to drive for its size, really good visibility, but not an offroad vehicle. Really good for camping trips though.

That and when they get to around 150 000 km plus the head sh*#s itself due to it having a water jacket most of the way around the cylinder.

Is it a T30 or T31? The T30 doesn't have traction control and would be fairly useless. The T31 does have it which makes it slightly less useless. Either way they wouldn't be much good anywhere exept for a flat dirt road.
