hi there,
i was just wondering what different suspension set ups you think work well and flex the best on a solid axle hilux i will be running 35's in most cases but would like to be able to run 37's every now and then for some comp work also the vehicle will be my daily driver so i would like it to be at least a little friendly on the road any help or opinions are appreciated
cheers

RUF and coil rear or ifs rears is the go, but not road legal, coils could be plated but ruf wont,
i personally like ruf and ifs rears, but if u wana keep it legal u could use the locktup4x4.com kits and get them enginerd is wat some people do

thanks for the help i will prob just end up going a flex kit or a similar set up so i can get it engineered and keep it legal for the time being as i dont feel like getting hassled and defected every time i drive past a cop on the way home from work every afternoon, will prob look at 2 inch body, 2 inch shackles and 3 inch flexy springs what are your opionion on the height do you think it will be too high with that combination

You'd be better off with 3" springs, 2" extended shackles and leave out the body lift.
I have 35's with this and the diff moved forward 35mm on the spring perch.
You'll have to cut the guards a tad with 37's but it won't get picked on nearly as much, I run 32's on road and the cops don't look twice at me. And I have 30 odd defects.
I used a 4 runner coil rear, to get better ride and flex.. Easy to do and all factory Toyota.
