Hi from the uk.

My f70 (foutrack) 2.8d has no power to the front wheels, the prop is engaged but no drive. It isnt making nasty noises and i have been advised that i need to fit new manual locking hubs?

Any suggestions.

Also, are they easy to fit? its has free wheeling ones at the mo.

The swivel housing seal is also leaking, how difficult is this to fix.

And lastly, has anyone got advice on lifting these vehicles, i think that David (Bundyrumandcoke) has done this. Here in the uk parts and mods for Daihatsus dont exist so any drawings etc would be most welcome.

Sorry to ask so much but you guys are the best forum for daihatsus i have found.

Regards

Pete

Good Idea!

It's just a swap (6 bolts/screws). The challenge is to loosened it.... :?

The swivel housing seal is also leaking, how difficult is this to fix.
sorry, I don't know

1. do a search on "torsion bar" and/or "suspension lift" ;)
2. suspension lift or body lift?

Best,
Haasa

Most F75's from what I can gather came out with the AVM hub, which I have had no trouble with. However I believe that AISIN also make a hub for them and no a Hilux hub will not fit, I have tried.
From memory however the swivel joint housing is identical to the hilux, I also know for a fact that the stub axles are identical, as mine is sitting on Hilux/80 series stub axles. (Though only the outer bearing in the Rocky is the same as a Hilux.) You may find that the seal from a Hilux/80 series will do the job.

Cheers,
Muddy

thanks guys

I want to do both, a suspension life and a body lift, +2" on both, so i need 4" longer shackles and 2" body blocks.

My old girl is leaf sprung all round.

Best regards

Pete
