Fuel Filler with dual tanks

Post by RRturboD »

I am looking to refine the filling of the two tanks I have fitted to my Range Rover. I currently have a separate fill point for each tank and would like to reduce this to just one. I understand that some Toyotas have a single filler point and a lever selection allowing for fuel to be delivered to Main or Aux. I'd appreciate some help identifying the parts I need.
Thanks

The prado's have the split filler to fill either tank from the one place.

Can't imagine it being expensive from wreckers..

The lever actuated one you describe was in the 80 series cruisers.

correct.

the 100 and 105series cruiser has one fuel cap, but inside the filler neck it widens out and there is two openings, one for filling the main tank and one for filling the sub tank.

it would be fairly easy to fab something similar, or as above source from the wreckers

Thanks for the help, you have given me a couple of options.
I'll have a look at a couple of 'original' solutions, and like the idea of fabricating something. At least with the fabrication, it will all look standard from the outside.
