G'day. I've done a search and read the Pirate link but don't feel confident to go pulling winch apart, etc.

So anyway, i'm after an inspection, service and clean of a second hand older style 8274 winch.

I'm also after a drain and filler plug tapped or welded in

And lugs welded to back for bracing to be attached

I may possibly be interested in the brake mod that is commonly done on these winches too, if not too expensive.

I've already drilled and fitted R-clip to clutch shaft.

Anyway, does anyone know someone in Moorabbin or city areas of Melbourne who can do this work? Rough cost and necessity of plugs and brake mods?
