got an 1980 ute
she is powered by a 253 with the 4 speed box, cant find tag or number on bellhousing to find out make of it, i definitly know the motor still has a holden flywheel and what looks to be a early HQ maybe pressure plate i need to replace the rattley old clutch but dont know what to order.
so first Q- how do i find out what i need for it?

second Q - still has drum brakes on front red some where hilux assembley fits disc's, hub's and swivel housing, but what model hilux do i steal these from?

third Q - want to upgrade to power steering so what steering box do i use?

any help what so ever on any of my Q's would be highly appreciated

Cheers Evil

how hard would it be to convert to 80 series diffs into my 45, i know ill have to fab/buy trailing arms and mounting points ect and are 80 series diffs as strong as the 45 series diffs
if you got pictures of such a conversion id love to see them and how it was setup

ill look into a 60series box this week thanks for that
and as for the adaptor kit got no idea i cant even find a id number or tag on the bellhousing any where my mate says the bellhousing looks exactly like an original 45series unit except the fact where the motor bolts to is diffrent
if this helps to know has the biggest inspection plate under it when off half the clutch is viewable easily
