Front Bearings - Book Time / Actual Time

I've a question for the mechanics or others here who might know what is the accepted book time in Australia to repack the front bearings on a GQ/GU? And also, what is the actual time shops charge for a front bearing repacking? I've heard a claim here in Canada that the book time is 3.5 hours. I have a hard time believing that when I can do the same in 2.0 hours. I don't want to assume the mechanics here n Canada are less honest or less capable than in Australia. However, it doesn't add up in my opinion. Perhaps I am missing something?

i can repack my bearings in bout 1and a half to 2 hours maybe less if i can be bothered \ and that is with the hub socket dunno wat they charge in the mechanics

3.5 hours is way too long. I can do both front axles seals in about 1.5, so I'd say around 1-1.5 to grease both sides.

Book time is 2.2 Hrs
We charge 2 at most / Gq early twin nut type / only 1.75 if auto hub gu
Maybe were too cheap
by the sounds of it.

Thanks for all the feed-back. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable thinking that it should be less than 3.5 hrs on the book. I can do mine in about 2.0 hrs without rushing, so I presumed that a mechanic in a fully outfitted shop should be able to do the same. I've got two Y60 Safaris but they have the same set-up with the lock ring as a GU. The first time I did them it took me much longer but I hand packed the bearings. Now with a bearing packer, it's 1/10th of the time to pack bearings.

Nope. Mods here wouldn't put up with it for one thing. I don't plan on rubbing it in any of their faces'. Not worth it. Some people are just way too sensitive. One day - over a beer - I might ask Radd what he does differently than me to account for 3.5 hrs. In this day an age, I don't think a shop would hand pack bearings. Sure, you don't waste grease like a bearing packer does. However, with shop rates of around $100/hr, who cares about the cost of grease.
